Glucose Control Solution

It is very rare for a meter to be out of calibration. Control solutions are a way to test your meter so you know that it is giving you accurate results.

Our control solutions contain a known amount of glucose that can react with Keto-Mojo test strips.

Do a control solution test in the following conditions:

  • You suspect the meter or test strips are not working properly.
  • You have dropped or think you may have damaged the meter.
  • Your blood glucose test results are not consistent with how you feel, or you think the results are not accurate.
  • You are practicing the testing process.
  • You're a control freak and just wanna know (we are just having some fun here).
You can check the performance of the meter, test strip, and your technique by comparing the control solution results with the range printed on the label of  the test strip vial. Checking regularly can ensure your test results are accurate.

If the quality control check fails, conduct the quality control check again or contact customer service

Please refer to the Owner's Manual that came with your meter or can be downloaded online for complete testing instructions.

Expiration Date: The expiration date is printed on the vial of the control solution, and is good for 90 days from opening.

According to the solution test my reading of 7.7 shows my meter is accurate. When I called I was told by your people then it can be off by 20 points and still be accurate so according to your meter I'm pre-diabetic according to my doctor and lab results I'm not

No Problems whatsoever.

The solution appears to have worked fine, but I am still doubtful if the machine is accurate or not. It reads 30 point higher than my other glucose machine. I have a doc appointment so that they can test my blood in a lab. I will check my blood that morning with the machine and compare the readinf with the lab. The only way I will know how accurate it is.

Good to verify if your monitor is correct. Keto Mojo has the BEST customer service!

I had to be sure of accurate readings. I used solutions and we'll in range.

Your glucose readings vary by as much as 20 points so I got the control solution to see if it needed calibrating. You can't get the solution on the test strip and part of the reason is the test strip portion for the blood or solution is too long. I find it hard to read blood as well. Not at all happy with your machine at this point although I do use it for Keto., I am using my other one for glucose.

Very happy with how the product worked. The only reason I didn't give a Very Good is the price. Based on how much you actually need to test with and the relatively short shelf life after opening, 90 days, $7 is, while not outrageous, is still a bit high. Maybe consider selling a smaller quantity in something like a soft contact lens container with just enough solution to allow for 2-3 samples and then be tossed. The meters are accurate and I can't see retesting them on a regular basis so the larger bottle isn't really necessary once you've confirmed your meter is reading correctly.

Works as advertised

I’m glad there is a way to make certain that the ketone and blood glucose strips are reading things correctly. I had a wonky batch of ketone strips and the company told me to use the control solution to double check their accuracy. Sure enough, that’s batch was off. They mare sending new ketone strips and from now on I will always check a new batch before I start that canister. It will save me a lot of worry that I’m not in ketosis.

Easy to use.

I just was diagnosed Type 2 Diabetes 6 weeks ago. I bought the deluxe kit plus I was given an Accu Chek testor by my insurance company. I actually like the keto better. The reason I got the solution is that I am getting different readings with both meters. I wanted to make sure the meter is normal so I got this solution. The hardest part for me was to put just enough to wet the test strip. Everything came out normal.

I love the meter, the ease of use, however, every source I have read, says you should test a brand new meter with control solution upon receiving it. I got a form letter saying essentially “not necessary because we tested it before we mailed it”. Instructions also say “test if dropped” many times was it dropped during shipping? Include a starter bottle with each new purchase please.

Control solution is an important part of assuring the accuracy of your meter and test strips. I test the first strip of every vial of blood glucose test strips.

No "how to" videos for control solution use but turned out to be common sense.
